Do you want to have everything that you love on the internet in one place….just waiting for you to look at when you have time? Pinterest is a wonderful way to keep all the things you want to discover together in an organized manner. From hobbies…to recipes…to decorating ideas…to travel. Whatever you love, you can find and “pin”, creating visual bookmarks to look back on at any time. Share your pins with friends and family…just another way to stay connected. During this 2 hour workshop, you will learn the following:
- Basics of Pinterest explained
- Steps to set up a Pinterest account & create a profile
- Discuss and set security & privacy options
- Meaning of “pin” and “follow”
- Follow other pinners
- Create boards on Pinterest (Public & Private)
- Install the pin it button to your web browser
- How to pin, re-pin, send, or like
- How to upload your own pin
Because of the expected large interest in this class, registrants are expected topay their tuition unless they cancel at least one day in advance. A waiting list will be kept if there are cancellations. This class is limited to only 10 participants and tuition payment is expected.
*You must bring a device (laptop, tablet, iPad, or smartphone) with you to this workshop. You must also know how to use this device confidently as this is not a workshop on how to use your device.
*You should have a Pinterest account set up before coming to the workshop. You can download the Pinterest app and sign up there. Or you can access Pinterest from your computer by going to http://www.pinterest.com and sign up that way. Just don’t forget your password!
Tuition for this class is $10 payable to Jennifer Dancu. Registration is through the TVU website, but completion of the registration requires prepayment at the Welcome Center. You may cancel your registration within 3 days of the class for a return of your check.
