Plumbing, Electrical, Drywall Holes, Strange Noises and More
March 12 9-11am Chota Rec Center Room D
Do you need to clean a sink drain, reset or un-stick a garbage disposal, stop a mysterious running of the toilet, unclog a shower head, install a fluorescent bulb, troubleshoot telephone wiring and reset the modem, repair a hole in drywall, or prevent mold in your HVAC duct? (Or are you just living with the problem because you don’t know what to do about it?)
TVU has partnered with the STAYinTV Home Maintenance Team again. The highlights of the first presentation will be reviewed to address questions like these that may come up around your house:
But there’s more . . . . . including demonstrating rewiring a lamp, showing the details of changing a doorknob set, and replacing a toilet flapper. YOU CAN DO IT, TOO and avoid having to find someone willing to do these small home repair tasks.
Also, plenty of time for questions! Their experts will be on hand to answer your questions, OR you can tell them if we need another class to add more topics and demonstrations. Maybe you will decide that you need to call TVPOA Home Maintenance for some help OR call for professional service if Home Maintenance is not able to help you.
The goal is to provide the information and instill the confidence needed to take care of many of the easier home maintenance tasks often encountered.
THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR THE ALREADY-SKILLED HANDY HANDYMAN TYPE! Beginners/novices can attend and not feel intimated.
By all means . . . bring your questions. Invite your friends to register and attend with you. You may have a neighbor you know who could use this type of class. You may get just the help you need to avoid having to deal with a maintenance visit from an outside source. Two hours well spent!
Tuition for this course is $5 paid to TVPOA. Registration is at the TVU website at www.tvuniversity.org. Contact Us page. You will receive a confirmation.
